Saw 2: A Review

July 31st, 2006 | Category: Film Reviews

The movie from the get go had gore and started out with a person faced with one of Jigsaw’s challenges. I found this movie to be quite poor in comparison to the first Saw. This movie pretty much sucked and without the twist it would’ve been even more terrible. The first Saw had us intrigued and attached to the characters, where in Saw 2 we didn’t know much if anything when someone was killed off. Very cool twist in the end but not enough to redeem itself. 1 star out of 5.

I made minor changes to the site, learning a few things along the way. Also, I did add the advertisement simply because why not?. I’m not trying to get ad-clicks for the money but if someone does click them it doesn’t hurt to get paid. Besides I’m poor and could use the pocket change (not expecting a lot if any from it.. if anything it would be fun to update how well it’s doing and if I actually am sent cheques of let’s say 5 cents by google..)

Anyway I’m out peace.. time to read Rule of Four/watch 28 days later.

An Inconvenient Truth Review

July 30th, 2006 | Category: Film Reviews

I saw this film on July 12th. I had other things on my mind so I didn’t do a review then. Okay this movie is a documentary more like a lecture by former presidential candidate Al Gore. This movie is about the environment with potential hazards to our world cause by global warming. This movie is very informative, very interesting. There are some facts here and there about Al Gore which I found interesting. The message in this movie is a postive one. The only problem I find with this movie, as it is a lecture… there are times where like in school you want to fall asleep which Lucy did. She fell asleep through most of it. I think this is a great movie to watch though some people would find it boring. I’d give it 4 stars out of 5.

A Clockwork Orange Review

July 30th, 2006 | Category: Stanley Kubrick, Film Reviews

I liked this movie a lot though I already saw part of it while flipping channels late at night. Specifically I like the classical music played throughout the movie just like in Battle Royale. Like in both movies they really help set the tone and I think was it vital for both the movie’s success. The movie surprisingly didn’t carry on with the sex acts or violent acts so there wasn’t anything to hate. Though he was evil I felt deep sorrow for Alex in the movie. The song I’m Singing in the Rain is great, that scene is great and I think it’s a must to watch. I’d give it 5 stars.

I’ll talk a bit about the plot and I’ll try not to ruin anything. Alex DeLarge is a mischievious boy. At night he wreaks havoc with his droogies (gang). Unfortunately he ends up in jail, where he is to serve a long sentence. Alex hears about a new treatment that is undergoing experimentation and would like to have this treatment due to this meaning he will get out jail very quickly. Watch the movie to find out how the treatment goes. :P

I watched it last night and some other notes to look at: Gong Li is in Vice City. I am going to ask Lucy about her since the name Gong is supposedly rare. Now it is onto to watching either Saw II or 28 days later. I haven’t really seen bad movies in awhile as it does take good reviews for me to watch a film so we’ll see. Hmm I could do a review on an incovenient truth while I wait for David to pick me up. Okay I will then…
