Lucky Number Slevin: Review

September 29th, 2006 | Category: Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Film Reviews

This movie has an excellent cast with the likes of Josh Harnett, Lucy Liu, Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. Generally a big cast means instant payoff regardless of the how weak the storyline is. If Click with Adam Sandler can do well… it’s hard to understand why this film didn’t do so well when this film though argued by some critics was an excellent film. The storyline is fantastic that I won’t share anything with you because that ruins the movie! If I told you anything it would really affect the way you look at the movie. I ended up watching the movie having no idea it was going to be about, only on the pretense that Joe and Jamal said it was a good film. The film was given a bad rating on rotten tomatoes but I don’t care. This film was good, though probably advertised wrong as I enjoyed it a lot. I would give it 4 stars out of 5. Go watch it even though the commercial to it was stupid…

Jackass Number 2 Review

September 24th, 2006 | Category: Film Reviews

This movie includes all of the Jackass members, Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, wee man, Chris Pontius etc.

This movie is just a bunch of outrageous stunts peiced together randomly. It’s not really a movie but it’s worth the money. I was laughing my ass off and as long as I was enjoying myself that’s all that matters. This one was quite disgusting but whatever sells sells. 4 stars out of 5.

Invincible (2006) Review

September 23rd, 2006 | Category: Greg Kinnear, Mark Wahlberg, Film Reviews

This is a football movie that I wanted to see after seeing Friday Night Lights. It stars Mark Wahlberg (Vince Papale) and Greg Kinnear(Dick Vermeil) Anyway the story is about Vince Papale a die-hard 30 year ld bartender/substitute teacher and Philadelphia Eagles’ fan who is given the chance of a lifetime to impress coaches at an open tryout. A sub-plot is the first year of coach Dick Vermeil in the NFL which should’ve been advertised because who doesn’t love that emotional coach? This movie was good, borderline great but not anything special. Typical football movie but if you look at it this way Vince Papale (the real one) was a special teamers and an old one who earned his way into the NFL and it’s a great story. 3.5 stars out of 5.

Inside Man Review

September 04th, 2006 | Category: Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Clive Owen, Film Reviews

Plot: A man named Dalton Russell (Clive Owen) plans the perfect bank heist. This bank heist turns into a hostage situation where an inexperienced good cop Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) is set to be the negotiator. Medeline White (Jodie Foster) is hired specifically by the bank owner Arthur Case (Christopher Plummer) to protect 1 safety box that could be very damaging to him. That’s probably all I am going to divulge into the plot, not much to say but it was executed brilliantly.

I loved this movie A LOT. Personally I like hostage situations in movies, where I did have the Negotiator up there on my favourite movies. I think Denzel Washington was great as well as Clive Owen played the perfect mysterious master-mind. For sure, this movie is STRONGLY recommended. 4.5 stars/5.

On some other news:
Today my blog is 3-months old.. August has been my most successful month by having 1300 hits (a slight increase). I’m pleasantly satisfied with how it’s doing. It could use more comments though.

Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter has passed away I used to watch this show sparingly simply cause I never knew when it was on but this show sure was entertaining… wow what terrible luck with that stingray. TV has lost a great personality, animals have lost a great animal lover and this just sucks…

Anyway I’m out.. peace. Damn blogger.com is having problems as I make this post. Sort of frustrating me..owell..
