The Village (2004): Review

October 29th, 2006 | Category: Adrien Brody, Joaquin Phoenix, Bryce Dallas Howard, Film Reviews

The Village produced by M. Night Shyamalan. This stars Adrien Brody, Joaquin Phoenix among others.

I don’t want to divulge into the plot, as it would be a total waste of my time.

I found this movie totally boring. I thought it was supposed to have me freaked out but in the end is just bored the crap out of me. It really sucks to know that they weren’t real in the middle of the fucking movie. Disappointing and a waste of my life!!! I give it 0.5 stars out of 5.

The Departed (2006): Review

I saw this at 4am in the morning and it kept me up till 6. Thank god for file “sharing”.

The Departed has a star-studded male cast of Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Leonardo DiCaprio. This film is directed by Martin Scorsese is a gang type flick.

I love thrillers… and this had my heart pumping all the way through. Let’s begin with the plot. The Departed surround around two guys, Billy Costigan (Leo) and Colin Sullivan (Damon) who are rats on the side they are on. Costigan is an undercover copy infilitrating the Irish mob while Sullivan a state detective is actually tipping off the mob. Both these moles are told to find the other which results in an action packed, thrilling movie.

I give this 5 out of 5. It was simply AWESOME. The critics were right and this moves into my top movies list.

Here is a clip of the trailer, doesn’t help say how good the movie is:

Clerks (1994): Review

October 22nd, 2006 | Category: Kevin Smith, Film Reviews

A great film to start out a producing career for Kevin Smith. It’s a very low budget film as it is in black and white. Though it is very low budget it is still a great film.

This movie is about two guys Dante and Randal who are clerks, Dante being a covenience story clerk and Randal a video store clerk. The main character is Dante who on his day off has to work and he has dropped out of school and his life as a clerk sucks. This is a pretty bad plot by me owell lol.

This movie is soooooo funny. It’s not stupid funny but more on the lines of good content that is hilarious. The script is REALLY good and though it is low budget it doesn’t hurt this film at all. I recommend everyone watch it. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Here is a piece of the movie:

Catch me if you can: Review

October 12th, 2006 | Category: Christopher Walken, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Film Reviews

Awesome movie based on a true story. Good acting and what else is there not to like about it? The plot is based on a 16-year old boy who runs away and begins one of the most massive cheque frauds ever and manages not to get caught. Catch me if you can is just great, simple in a way but excellent. Superb. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Anyway here is Just by Radiohead. One of my favourite vids.. I want to know what the guy says in the end!!
