Scarface: Review
Incase you’re asking, yes I haven’t much the film till recently which is why I am doing a film review.
Starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana a Cuban defector that has suffered under the rule of Castro. This movie takes place in Miami during the cocaine boom.
Tony Montana coming to the USA with big dreams end up working hard in a restaurant for a little pay. Getting fed up, he begins to live the life of a drug dealer. I won’t divulge too much in the storyline (I never do!). But I like the line “first you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the women” in a Cuban accent of course lol.
Storyline wise I didn’t like it too much but I felt like I needed to know what was going to happen next and I was reeled in and couldn’t stop watching. The action is great, the characters like Manny made the movie funny at times. This movie was good, no matter how “bad” a storyline was to me I still enjoyed myself and I didn’t get disappointed at how people said I should watch this movie. 4.5 out of 5.

This movie was Darren Aronofsky breakthrough as a director. This movie was at a low $60,000 budget and used many techniques that were used in Requiem for a dream.
This movie stars Sean Gullette and Mark Margolis who also appear in Requiem.
Max (plaayed by Gullette) is a genius mathematician has been tormented by severe headaches when he claims to have “stared into the sun”. He believes mathematics will and can solve the world. Max belives there is a pattern in everything and believes he can find out a magical number that will help predict the stock market.
Max has some major adversity with the recurring headaches, being stalked by a firm who wants him to help the with predicting the stock market and a Jewish group who wants this number who they believe will solve the Torah.
This movie is original and there has been nothing like it. Taking into account the low budgetness this is an awesome film. The only problem is that I just didn’t feel it in this movie. I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 still..
